Literacy Periodt, Inc. uses dedicated literacy specialists to work collaboratively with teachers, literacy specialists, and instructional leaders to improve their instructional practices by providing ongoing support, feedback, and guidance, ultimately aiming to enhance student learning outcomes through targeted strategies, modeling effective teaching methods, and facilitating professional development opportunities within the classroom environment; they act as mentors, focusing on building teacher capacity without direct supervisory responsibilities. Classroom Observations
Regularly observing teachers in their classrooms to analyze instructional strategies, student engagement, and alignment with curriculum standards.
Feedback and Coaching Collaborations
Providing constructive feedback to teachers based on observations, data analysis, focusing on strengths and areas for improvement, and collaboratively developing action plans.
Co-Planning and Co-Teaching
Collaborating with teachers to plan lessons, model effective teaching techniques, and co-teach specific segments of a literacy lesson to demonstrate strategies.
Professional Development Facilitation
Leading workshops, providing targeted training, and sharing best practices to support teacher growth in specific areas like differentiated instruction or technology integration.
Collaboration with Administrators
Communicating with school leadership to align coaching efforts with district goals and priorities.
Individualized Support
Addressing the specific needs of individual teachers by tailoring coaching strategies to their unique challenges and goals.
